Corporate Accountant

Job Summary:

The Corporate Accountant maintains financial records to ensure compliancy with laws, regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Prepares financial, budgeting and forecast reporting.
  • Assists in monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
  • Analyzes finances to determine risks and creates forecasts.
  • Assist in external and internal audits.
  • Foreign currency translations.
  • Cash management activities.
  • Account reconciliations.
  • Inventory accounting.
  • Revenue and expense accounting.
  • Insurance claim reconciliations.

Skills, Abilities and Experience:

  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Working towards or completion of a professional designation in Accounting.
  • 3 years’ experience as a Corporate Accountant.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices.
  • In-depth experience in risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy on all business matters.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Capable of identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Business minded with strong analytical skills.

Working Conditions

  • Operates in an open office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • Requires undertaking visits to vessels on location as required.
