Algoma Equinox

The flagship Algoma Equinox was built in 2013, the first ship built to the Equinox Class design.  The Equinox Class ships are designed with a fully integrated exhaust gas scrubbing system that eliminates 97% of all suphur oxide (SOx) emissions and 75% of particulate matter emissions from the engines. The Tier II main and auxilary engines also produce less Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) pollutants and feature electronically controlled smokeless rail fuel injection.
